Laughter is the best medicine.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed that students are counting down the days.  At the same time, I've observed that their level of stress seems to have increased.  Between the end of year assessments, preparation for promotion, and anticipation of going to middle school, my fifth graders are tense right now.

What better way to break that tension than with some laughter?  My son's football coach shared the following video with the team:

I loved it so much, I thought maybe the class would get a kick out of it.  So this morning, as soon as I got to school, I started making bad joke cards to use for this game.  We played our first round during our morning meeting and will continue playing until we can narrow down to one champion.

Even better, we are recording our rounds for your enjoyment!  I hope it helps you laugh today!
